The Past, Present, and Future of History
California Historical Society
Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 6:00 PMÂ
678 Mission Street in San Francisco
Join futurist Alex Steffen, Jon Christensen, editor of Boom: A Journal of California, and CHS Executive Director, Anthea Hartig for a lively conversation about the evolving practice of doing history and the changing roles of  scholarship, archives, libraries, and historical societies. In the land of the California dream and the heart of a high tech boomtown, we ask does history have a future? How do we utilize history today and how might we tomorrow? What can we learn from the history of history here in California?
